This was a popular image around here; one because the gals are both community go-getters, and second because next month is the 25th anniversary of Steel Magnolias. The film was shot entirely here in Natchitoches, written by a Natchitoches native and is a true story. Not only is it a true story, but if you've seen he film, you've just about been to Natchitoches. Almost all of the extras were local people, and the houses are all real. Truvey's is just a couple blocks away from here!
