That said the stronger images for me were the ones that showed some contact between the photographees and the photographer, no matter how fleeting. The third last in the B&W is one of the strongest. However, I do have to say - yet again - expecting comments from people on a list as image heavy as the LUG is more than mildly ambitious. Most of us have little enough time, and other demands driving our lives. I do look at every image, but, as I'm retired (but busy) and can't afford to hire a secretary to type up any potential comments, they remain unuttered. Life can be disappointing betimes, but then again, maybe I'll win the lottery and be able to hire a team of secretaries to type wordy essays on each photograph's lighting, composition, punctum, etc., but then again, the chances of that are unlikely... :-) Keep clicking Douglas ----- Original Message ----- From: "Mitchell Alland" <malland at me.com> To: "Leica Users Group" <lug at leica-users.org> Sent: Wednesday, October 15, 2014 10:14 PM Subject: [Leica] IMG: "Tristes Tropiques" book project I?ve done another edit of my "Tristes Tropiques? book project, which has 78 pages and whose PDF file (59MB) you can download here: bit.ly/MoQmnC The photos are all in colour and taken with the M9. C&C, both positive and negative are welcomed. Actually, a couple of days ago, I posted a link to a 30-photo portfolio selected from my ?Bangkok Hysteria? book project (B&W). Although 22 people download the linked PDF file, there was not a single comment, presumably because no one liked the pictures. No problem, as I like them; but I am interested to see whether there will be any reaction to ?Tristes Tropiques.? - - Mitch _______________________________________________ Leica Users Group.
