The attack occured on the Promenade de Anglais when the fanatical scumbag, driving a large truck, drove into helpless people, mowing them down. All for the greater glory of Allah, of course. This tragedy prompted me to choose Nice as a destination when I heard that people were cancelling their holidays in droves. OK it was a very small gesture of defiance, but if we allow evil to triumph in small ways, its pervasive miasma grows remorselessly. There's a spontaneous and emotional memorial to the dead and injured men, women and children which sprang up after the attack in a small park near the site of the tragedy. Here are three pictures. http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/DouglasBray/France/Cote+dAzur+2016/Nice+49+Memorial+1.jpg.html http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/DouglasBray/France/Cote+dAzur+2016/Nice+50+Memorial+2.jpg.html http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/DouglasBray/France/Cote+dAzur+2016/Nice+51+Memorial+3.jpg.html Douglas
