Some exotic Canon lenses can no longer be repaired (50/1.0 and 200/1.8) despite being 'rather' expensive. As to prices, is an M(240) more than the top of the range Canikons (D5, 1DX)? Lenses are pricy but last a long time.... I still have not used anything (tried Nikon and Fuji) that I enjoy using or takes images that look as good to my eyes as my Leica's do. john -----Original Message----- I agree Ted, we all love Leica - at least in principle. But prices and stories such as Doug's lead you to despair! I still have - and use - my M3 and IIIf (the latter of which propelled me into joining the LUG - a very good thing) and I would love to try out a decent digital Leica. But I regret that it is now probably forever outside my price range. Hence my move to Fuji bodies and adaptors to use my M-kit.
