I usually see them for a few days as they bulk up for the next stage of their journey. This guy sat out a rainstorm on a feeding porch. It got so dark that the ISO was all the way up to 6400. http://www.gallery.leica-users.org/v/OldNick/20170422-DSCF1648.JPG.html I keep trying to improve my images of the Red Head. These were shot with the lens aperture at f/8 for DoF with the 2X Extender, so the shutter speed is quite low, but the tripod and cable release helped immensely. http://www.gallery.leica-users.org/v/OldNick/20170422-DSCF1664.JPG.html Comments and critiques welcomed and appreciated. -- Jim Nichols Tullahoma, TN USA
