That?s very interesting, and maybe disappointing, as it means that I might have to do manual copying. It?s probably faster to do it manually, but the Coolscan has the advantages of unattended operation for a full box of slides and automatic naming of the scans. How is the macro?s performance better? Resolution? Sharpness? Dynamic range? Maybe the best option is to finish doing all my slides and negatives with the Coolscan for archival and quick-reference purposes, but to do a copy with the macro for printmaking purposes. Is your Leica 100 mm macro the old Macro-Elmar? I have one of these from the 1970s on the bellows rig. I figure to use it with the R-to-M adapter on my M240. That sounds like essentially the same important parts ? lens and sensor ? as your kit with the SL. Does the Nikon slide copier actually fit the 100 mm macro?s barrel or did you have to do something creative? And is the Nikon ES-1 slide copy attachment the one you?re using? ?howard > On Sep 9, 2017, at 1:25 PM, Tina Manley <tmanley at gmail.com> wrote: > > Howard, > > That's what I'm working on.
