I went looking, and found the Micro-Nikkor 55 f 2.8 at a good price, the lens you are supposed to use with the copier. When I opened the box it looked near mint, and it still has the "passed" sticker on it, making it somewhere from the 90's I guess. I used the micro 3.5 many years ago at the TV station on a copy stand, but never much outside. Anyhow, it seems to work on slides too with my Sony A7r2, the Sony>Nikon adapter and an extension tube. Now, I'll attack a box full of slides that I want to digitize! (But I still like it for flowers!)
