A Bateleur is an eagle of the woodlands - its short tail makes it extremely maneuverable and agile, flying at high speed through the trees. A Secretary Bird is a large bird that roosts on treetops, and spends the rest of the day marching around the grasslands looking for snakes, its primary food. I saw a strange interlude once in Ndutu, when a Secretary Bird and a Tawny Eagle joined hands to decimate a hare - and then left the body and went their own separate ways without eating a morsel! This one, and the next four after that (Hunt 1 to Hunt 5): http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/jayanand/EAfrica/2013/Ndutu_20130307_07769-Edit.jpg.html Cheers Jayanand On Tue, Oct 16, 2018 at 5:04 PM Douglas Barry <imra at iol.ie> wrote: > Thanks for showing those, Jayanand.
