I have both the 35mm and 28mm lenses you mentioned.... and find both to be
superb....... for M-series cameras that is.  If I had neither and could only
buy one, I would suggest the 35mm f/2 since it is rather wide and that extra
stop is a lifesaver at times.  I build a considerably part of my early career
with that lens and many political campaign pictures in the 60s were made with
it.
