Well Fred, you might think so, but it's not quite true that Leica lenses are  
"always" superior to the film. Only the best ones, like the 180 Apo Telyt are  
better than Tech Pan, that is if you like Tech Pan. But wait a minute, even with  
400 speed film Leica's superiority shows up. So what the heck, we can benefit  
from these discussions, because lenses have differenc "character." I remember one  
writer in Leica Photography some years ago saying the 80 Summilux R was one of  
the most "characterful" (talk about translations, eh?) lenses he had ever used.

So talking about lenses is very beneficial, especially similarities and  
difference between the same focal length and aperture.
