Subject: Killing Leica-Users Group

Hi -

I've learned a lot about my favorite camera by subscribing
to this user-group. But of late, all I seem to be doing is
deleting the incoming postings. That's because a small
minority of users are loading up this group with all kinds
of nonsense about films, film processing and film storage
and even whether they have their PC's properly configured
and who knows what. It is a very small number of people. I
would safely guess that more than 90% of the recent postings
and repeat postings have nothing to do with Leica cameras
and they are posted by less than five individuals.

My Question: What the heck do all these postings have to do
with Leica (except that the camera uses 35 mm film)?

It's getting like CB radio but with typing! I predict that
if this continues it will surely kill the leica-users group
because the best people will stop subscribing.

Friendly Suggestion: Take miscellaneous camera chatter to
one of the rec.photo groups. It'll be much appreciated
there.

Thanks,
