The wonder of LTM lenses is that there are so many superb aftermarket lenses
out there as well as Leitz' own offerings. In fact, the Russians and
Ukrainians continue to build LTM lenses to this day, interesting clones of
the Prewar Zeiss Contax lens line together with a few great additions, the
6/28 Orion and the 5.6/20 Russar. The British, French, Germans, Japanese,
Dutch, and Italians have also all manufactured LTM lenses. The saga is a
rich one, the lenses are, for the most part, rather inexpensive, and the
optical performance of some of these is quite interesting.
