Hi Nick,
For a faster 50, I thiink your choices are the Summitar or Summicron (both
f2 lenses). Both are available in collapsible screw-mount configuration. The
Summitar is more prevalent and pre-dates the postwar Summicron which was made
with the newer rare earth metal oxide containing glasses.
The Summicron is considered to be the superior lens (especially for color
work).
The Summitars can probably be found for about 1/2 of what a Summicron will
cost.
For the 90, unless you want to drop a bundle on the f1.5 Summarex 85 mm
lens, you should seek out a nice, clean 90 Elmar. They're not so rare that
they cost a fortune. They're small and light.
The 50 Summicron (but not the 50 Summitar) takes an E39 filter size as do
the later 90 Elmars (earlier ones used A36). This means if you wish you can
get a pair of lenses that can share filters (although, again, you'll be
paying a premium for the Summicron versus the Summitar).
Don't forget you might want some sort of viewfinder for the 90, either an
Imarect universal finder or a dedicated finder (which may cost as much as the
lens itself!).
That's my two cents. Happy hunting!
