A question has been raised concerning the nature of "SOOKY." According to
my information, it is a near facusing device for screw thread and coupled
rangefinder Leicas (except Leica Midel IIIg). It has been available in
three models: SOOKY for the 50mm Summicron; NOOKY (now there's a name) for
the 50mm Elmar; and, NOOKY-HESUM for the 50 Summitar (also for the 50mm
Summar and Hektor). With it the near focusing range goes down to about 20."
I have no idea about its availability on the used market. If this is not
correct, please let me know.
