With the M6, to determine the metered area you simply visualise a cicle
in the centre of the viewfinder that has a diameter 2/3 of the height of
the framelines in use at the time. Think of it as a large spot meter. It
becomes second nature very quickly. [It's a lot simpler than fiddling
around with different framelines, although you can do that if you want,
using the next smaller frameline than the correct one for the lens
you're using to indicate the approximate metered area].
