Yes, I was given a minilux.  I like it very much.  I have taken both color
print and slide pics with it and find it does a very credible job.  I also
took some companion pictures with an M6 and 35mm/1.4 ASPH at f/3.5 or so.
They were somewhat sharper with the M6, but not all that much in small
prints.  On projection on a 70" x70" screen you would not particuarly know
the diference unless you directly compared them both one after the other.
The minilux has an adequate maximum f/3.5.  It is easy to hand hold for
availible light work.  The flash is rather weak, even for "family" type of
shots.

It is small and can go everywhere.  A very credible camera.  Make in Japan,
BTW.  Perhaps have other experiences that will be helpful to you.
