Howard Chapnick, former president of Black Star and one of photographyıs 
most important figures, died on Memorial Day. 

There will be a Remembrance service in New York City on Thursday, June 
27, at 6 PM at the International Center of Photography, 1133 Avenue of 
the Americas (at 43rd Street). 

You are invited and do not need to respond. It will an Appreciation of 
Howard, sure to be attended by many photographers who knew and loved 
him. I hope some of you will come too.
