Worth seeking out today (for those in the States, anyway) is The New
York Times, which has a couple of features of interest to this group. In the
Arts and Leisure section is an article on Leica collectors, prompted by an
auction at Christie's this Friday that may see some new records set for a
camera sold at auction. The other is the Magazine, which features a
collection of the best photographs published in the Magazine's 100 years of
publication, along with a decent essay on photojournalism by Kathy Ryan, the
Magazine's picture editor. She makes the point that despite the advances in
photographic technology over the last century, the biggest change in
photojournalism has been behind the camera.
