LUGgers,

I like my fat Tele-Elmarit 90mm. Its images have a visibly different
character (softer?) from those taken with the latest Elmarit-M, particularly
at 2.8-4. It is also beautifully made and takes the same hood as my 135mm/4.0
Elmar. It is also smaller than the new lens. The new Elmarit is great.
However, it is almost too perfect.

I am not sure that I like all my lenses to be perfect. Makes life
uninteresting.

I don't like the newer Tele-Elmarit. In particular, I don't like its feel and
its hood. Also, I have heard that it tend to flare.

Regards,

Chris
