Absolutely true. I am wondering if it's wise to get back into the R system.
THe prices sound like the prices for equivalent lenses ($15,000 for a 400
2.8) today, so at least the prices are holding. So a used one shoud be
$10,000. If I were a nature photographer, I think this system would be
indispensible, because it's a lot lighter than carrying the equivalent in
Nikon or Canon, and durn near the same price. Or close enough to justify
buying Leica. Alas, I am not a nature photographer. Darn.

If I get laid off, I might become one! :-)
