I have never experienced the M grip resetting my frame counters.
I do own a couple of these grips and find them excellent for using the M
Leicas in extreme cold situations where one is forced to wear substantial
mitts. Under regular conditions I find them to be a bit of an encumberance
and they spoil the handling of a well balanced camera body.
        This said much will depend on the users hand size.
