For what it's worth, I bought a current model Elamrit-M 90mm, SN 364xxxx,
about a year ago. No imperfections in the coating. This may not be one a
recent batch, though --- when I bought it, it had been the display model
for some time at a duty-free shop at Heathrow Terminal 4.
