	Hi -

I was NOT writing for myself. I can do it. I was
thinking of the people in the world who are still
using the equivalent of DOS 3.0 - and believe me,
	there are lots.

Ben, I tried to sensitize the LUG to people who might
enjoy reading the posts but don't have the latest technology
on their desktops. As to your remark: I love my work and so
I do it for 12-16 hours/day and I buy all the computing power
I need for my research. The university has NOT bought me a
single computer in the past 27 years.

Like I wrote: The analogy between Leica M and Point+Shoot
camera fits pretty well except that UNIX can in fact be
made to look like the stuff that a lot of people are using
but it's usually not worth the trouble. It would be like
installing auto-focus in an M6 - you gain something but
	you loose a lot more!

	'Have a nice day.
