We had hacked this one out some time ago on LUG and short of reengineering
the M6, nobody seemed to agree on a solution. What works every time for me
is a BIG, wide, blue rubber band, like the ones you find on a bunch of
broccoli. Take one end of your strap off, slip the rubber band over it and
reattach the strap. It will just dangle there most of the time, but when you
need it stretch it over the body to the left of the lens so that it
partially covers the light window. This will reduce the amount of light
reaching the frameline mask/focusing patch, and will solve the flare
problem. Engineering on-the-fly!
