Subject: Slow Escapement Speeds
From: bholmes@frii.com (Ben Holmes)

Last night I tried to make a few exposures with my M6 at 1 sec. It was
twilight, and the light was absolutely beautiful. I pressed the button, but
only heard half of the song. Click...short buzzzz...then...nothing. I tried
winding the film, but the advance was jammed. I rotated the speed dial to B
and the shutter closed. Again, I set it to 1 sec, wound the film, click...
SAME thing! I took out the film and ran through a dozen exposures at each
speed and the problem disappeared. What gives?

Should I chalk this one under "Non-reproducable results"? Was this a matter
of lack of excercise?
