let's put it this way: one has the extra money and that he/she "thinks"
it's worth it, get it.  i didn't when i got my new M6 w/ 35/2.  i used the
money (plus a bit more) to get an used Nikon F3/T instead... :-)

i don't know why but i'm not crazy about the M6 yet even though i've
gotten a 50, a 90 and a 135 since then. btw, this is only within the last
5 months or so... my main tool is still my F4S. the F3/T and the M6 are
the backup gears... and i'm starting to use my really old Hassy 500C a
lot lately and guess which body i've been using to meter for the 500C?
:-> humm! where did i put my FM2 and the F? ok, now i need to find a
good F2AS and then save a whole lot of money to get the new F5... i may
then come back to get a M3, then M4, then M2, then M5, then...

oh i'm sorry, too much nikon. forgot i'm still in the leica group... :>

now, if i buy another M6 body, i'll probably get a T and go back to the
Liberty Island the try putting it on a tripod and have it dropped on the
concrete ground to see if it survives, just like my FM2...

ps. on a second thought, i may get another M6 later but i won't try the
dropping myself. the FM2's self-timer is not working after that...
oops! now, would someone else in the group would like to try it and let
me know?  :->>>
