G'day Jim,

Gee you're so kind this morning. :) They're afraid I'll smash them to pieces in
front of their eyes if they don't work! :)

Given a couple of other shooters got their R8's at the same time as myself and
had glitches, I figure I got lucky in the pick of the litter.:)

Tom Donovan had a couple go haywire, had them replaced and as far as I know, he
is just as wired with the camera as I am. I realize at times I sound like a
brain damaged, (OK guys no smart ass cracks! :) Leicaphile about the R8.

But of all the reflex models (and other manufacturers) I have worked with since
the Leicaflex appreared on the market, the R8 is the best and will only become
better for my use with the motor attached.

Each time I look at negs or transparancies, particularly from not the greatest
lighting situations, I marvel at the excellence of the metering system. I have
become acceptive of what it tells me and just go with it withot even checking
with a hand meter. But then I beleive in my R7's for their metering also, but
this new machine is something else.

Biased? I guess so, but without a doubt the more I have it in my hands and
bouncing back and forth with a couple of R7's at the same time, this is a camera
of some worth.
