Subject: Series 8 1/2 filters

Howdy

	I am thinking about getting a SuperAngulon 21 mm f/4 for the R series. 
I was told by the seller that it takes a series 8 filter but other
sources say 8 1/2.  I am not familiar with Series X filter nomenclature
so I don't know how close these are to each other.  The other ? for the
group is who would carry such a beast?  Specifically looking to get a
circular polarizer?  TIA  ernie nitka
