Subject: Insurance Question

Dear Fellow LUGnuts,

When I fill up my F6 black (non-descript) camera bag with 2 M6's, 21mm,
28mm, 35 asph mm, 50 Noctilux, and 90 mm lenses, I'll bet I have over
$10,000 worth of stuff. I'll have to be careful not to put it down to eat
in a restaurant and then walk out without it. My wife could never let me
live that one down if it happened.

Do others have camera insurance so lost or stolen gear can be replaced?

I took out a camera gear policy for a year when I visited Germany in 1995.
I think it was about $100 for $5000 worth of coverage for one year.

This is an important topic since I would rather take camera gear with me
when I travel but also want to minimize my risk if the stuff gets taken or
lost.

Thanks,

Richard
