Oddmund,

Nice to hear you on the LUG again.

I went to a couple of lectures this past weekend by Sebastiao Salgado
(one in Mexico and one in the US) and he is working on a large
immigration project in many of the same areas you are (especially
Africa). You confirm everything he said. He told the audience it would
not matter if one million Border Patrol were placed on the US-Mexico
border, people will still come.

Salgado called me a few weeks ago for some help/advice on the border
because I have photographed this subject many times (I live here on this
border and see both worlds). Nice person. You said you had spoken to
him before and I hope you can talk again about your projects.

Too bad you can't get Leica to give you cameras like they do for him.

A sharp mind and a sharp eye are more important than a sharp lens.
