Richard,

I used to have the Vario Elmar (may have been Vario Elmarit) 70-210 f4.0 and
found it to be a nice lens.  Not as rugged as my other leica lenses, but it
was easily as good or better than the Nikon 80-200.  It was quite sharp.

Now I have a complaint against you and Ted.  Because of you two I had to go to
my local dealer and look at the R8 and I find it to be every bit as nice as
you two rave about it being.  Now all I have to do is get it out of my head or
I am going to have to rise my rates again! :)
