David,
I have a Ic with the Focotar lens and have used it extensively. It is an 
excellent black and white enlarger and a real precision piece of 
equipment, as you would expect. It sounds like a good enough deal to me. 
One thing to bear in mind is you probably will need the anti-newton glass 
attachment, as the condenser rests directly on the negative. Without it, 
you will get rings sooner or later. If one isn't supplied, it will cost 
about $100 or so new. It is well worth it. Leica in NJ was still selling 
the anti-newton glass a few years ago, as well as some other parts.
