All old M:s will have to get a CLA sooner or later. Your M2 is more than 35 years old, and has never got a CLA, as the Leica seal is intact. So, it is about time to get it done... Your camera sounds like a very nice sample, so if you like your M2 and want to keep it a few years, my advice is that you get it done. The camera will then function many years without any problems. I would personally do it without a second thought. But maybe the seller can give you some kind of discount or favour, it is worth a try.
