Subject: Confessions of an equipment freak

Reading the "roll call" I am relieved to see lengthy lists of varied equipment
and, indeed, even those who admit to being equipment fanatics.

Photography has been a lifelong hobby for me and I've taken my fair share of
good photos, but I won't bore you with that. My problem isn't so much that
I'm enamoured with and have a seemingly insatiable demand for more equipment
(a lot of it just for fun), but rather I realize that the more camera bodies
I own, the less I use of each and the less proficient I become with each (my
first serious camera, which I still have and use, was my one and only camera
for 16 years). So, I feel guilty about not using these cameras as much as
they should be used. Not happy with meaningless and periodic exercising of
the shutters, I've taken to giving myself "assignments" for each camera;
I can't think of anything better to do and selling any of it is out of the
question.

Anticipating the next swap meet, I remain,
