Interesting about the 180 APO; I originally got a Leicaflex SL MOT after a
friend who did weddings also showed his 180/2.8 APO to me. He said that he
used it for 'candids' at wedding receptions and the results were stunning! I
would compare the 8x10s with those he did with the 'Blad. I had sold my M2
to get into 'Blads, but I went out and got the SL MOT, and then had money
for only the 135/2.8 Elmarit. The results were very very nice, but never had
the 'glow' and color rendition of that 180 APO. It was almost magical. Mebbe
that's what this whole Leica thing is about! :)

What I find interesting in this thread is that this focal length, in
all its three forms, seems to appeal to everyone.

Marvin liked the f2.0 APO, Jim likes the f2.8 and TM likes the f3.4
APO.

Seems as though Leica really has their act together on this one.
