I have been using one of these for almost two years and love it. Its
performance is exemplary at all apertures. Do not hesitate to use it at f2.8.
Erwin gives a slight technical edge to the Summicron 50, but I much prefer the
look of the photographs from the Elmar. A marvelous lens; combined with an M6
it makes for a versitile, compact package.
