    Lucien I know something:
The extender for Leica M are two:
the first 1,65X price about 270$
    the second 2,0X price about 330 $
They are built by Massimo Benatti (a
very good camera repairman) with the
famous optic group (Kenko 4 lenses for
2,0x) (1,65x I don't know optic group)
in a frame studied only for 90mm/2,8 and
135mm 2,8 and 4,0. I say only because
the optic group "enter" into the
original lens, short and normal focals
can't be used.
I have an image of extender, but I
don't send to the LUG list a JPEG file,
if anybody want to get it, please e-mail
me privately, I 'll send you by web with
pleasure.
The extenders get on a pin that
allows the rangefinder to work well. You
can to focus.
They are small and tranportable, the
extender is like an Elmar 50/2,8
"closed".
    Lenses quality:
As you well know the extenders
quality is of course not like the
original lenses, and when the original
is Leica.....but I think that the
extender marries better with Leica than
others and the result is good.
The fall light is about 1,5 f/stop
for 1,65x ; and 2,0 f/stop for 2,0x, no
problem with TTL of M5 and M6 but
remember to correct with separate meter.
    The problem is the viewfinder.
    In fact:
    1,65X 90mm = 148,5mm
    1,65X 135mm = 222,75 mm
    2,0X 90mm = 180mm
    2,0X 135mm = 270mm
If the 135frame can help you with
the (1,65X 90mm) , after this
combination you need a separate
viewfinder. God bless you!
I know that Massimo Benatti is going
to study a separate viewfinder for both
extenders.
I think that the Extender is
suitable for special moments and for
emergency situation when is impossible
to approach the subject.
