Subject: [Leica] Leica Turret adapter for M2/M3??

Back in the 1940s, Leitz Canada made a three screw lens turret adapter
for, I believe, an M2 or an M3 which attached to the camera via a bayonet mount
on the rear of each lens - or some such. Memory fails.

Is this a desireable collectible, and is there a source for info on it.
