I don't know whether this has been mentioned, or whether there is any
interest in it - I received a call today from a Leica Rep. from NJ who said
that other than the new model M camera (with an enlarged view field
dropping the 28mm lines,) they will be introducing a "Variable Elmar" with
focal lengths of 28, 35, and 50mm, f 4.  I assume as you would slip it into
position it would key the corresponding frames.  Obviously it would work
best with the present M6 finder.
