Subject: [Leica] RE: Metering CRTs

I checked mine and found that it only had one click where the intensity
of both LEDs were the same. lt did have both LEDs lit over a 4 stop
range on the CRT and only a 1 stop range were both were lit against a
blank wall.

The reading where both LEDs were equal was also 1 1/2 stops off from my
trusty F1fn.

So much for superior/all inclusive German engineering.

It's kind of a mute point though because my monitor is smaller than what
I can shoot with a M-camera. Besides I would feel better shooting off of
the screen with a SLR with "100%" finder for framing reasons anyhow.

Besides that, I'm looking at buying a film recorder so I don't have to
shoot off of monitors anymore and I can make negatives for quantity
reprints from portraits and images tweaked in Photoshop. Any
recommendations????
