That's my modified M6 your talking about. It exists because iwanted it to.
After shooting with a genuine M6J camera (looks like chrome M3 but with
M4-style rewind) for a year or so, I decided I liked the finder but knew
I'd eventually bash the camera up. Bad idea. So an intrepid independent
technician installed some finders for me in regular black M6 bodies. This
was more complicated than it sounds.
Nothing "fake" about it - it's simply a great shooters camera and I don't
believe it really has collectors' appeal. That was never the point.
