As you have been informed, the MR-4 would b better with your M4-2 as it
will better clear the rewind crank. These meters, despite what another has
claimed are accurate and rugged. The coupling to the shutter speed dial
makes them more convenient than separate meters.

They were designed to use mercury cells which are available in, or from,
Canada. According to the LHSA Viewfinder, silver cells will work properly
without modification of the meter.

While these meters are often rather quite expensive, I see bargains (under
$100) pop up every few months. I bought an MR last year, in perfect working
order for $75.

Cheers!
