Yes, but adding a quick release plate to the bottom of an M6 adds bulk.  I'm
not willing to add bulk just for a tripod quick release.  One of the often
stated advantages of the Leica M series cameras is there compact size.
That is why I would like to see a combined handgrip/quick release.
