though manufactured in Canada?   Hey I LIVE in Canada!  ;-)  Besides, that
lens was not only manufactured in Canada, it was designed in Canada.  In
fact, some of the very best Leica lenses were designed and built in Canada,
including the f1 Noctilux, and the 75mm Summilux.
