I'm sure that medium format gives sharper images than any leica in the world
but the conditions are different!
As far as I know, it's very difficult to use a MF lens wide open because of
the size of the neg that cannot be really plane. Therefore, the MF lense
have to be stopped down (around f/8 or f/11) to compensate the lack of film
planeity. Thus, there is no way to get the typical leica image, like a 50mm
s'cron wide open with a main subject perfectly sharp and this famous
bokeh...So the purpose of MF cams such as the Fuji 6x9 and the leica M is
totally different. You can get bokeh at f/11 with a MF lens but you need at
least a 150 mm (the hasselblad 150mm f/4 for example).
