Subject: Re: [Leica] theives, dots, lens, M3 wide lenses

Michael,
I have an M3 with a 35mm RF-Summicron (bugeyes), 50mm Rigid Summicron and 90mm
Elmarit. The bugeyes extend the 50mm frame in the M3 finder to cover the field of
the 35mm lens. This works OK except that there is some distortion and occasional
flare.

Personally, I much prefer the color rendition of the 50mm Rigid Summicron over the
first version of the 35mm Summicron. The RF-Summicron exaggerates any warmth in a
scene.

I would buy the 50mm lens. Later, you can pick up a second body which has the 35mm
frame in the finder and get a 35mm to go with it.
