I have a 400/6.3- and it is not hard to focus at all, though it take a roll
or two to get the 'feel'
I use it with a R7 with motor, and this makes it much easier to use.
If you have an email address to which I might send a photo, I'll scan in one
of my woodpecker or duck pictures from last week and send it to you!
