Nathan,

your experience with the M6 shutter is perfectly normal. At speeds faster=

than the sync speed, only the distance between shutter curtains will be
changed for different speeds. At longer speeds, a small weight attached t=
o
the second curtain will have to be moved to delay this curtain; the
bouncing back of this weight causes the clicking sound. At speeds longer
than 1/8 (if I remember correctly), a sort of clockwork is used for furth=
er
delay. This causes the humming sound.
