Yes, of course. Like Stalin said, a million dead is a statistic, one dead
is a tragedy.

Every camera manufacturer has these problems. To expect Leica to achieve
perfection is asking too much. If people don't think M3s broke soon out of
the box back in the 50s, they're sadly mistaken.
