I've just been offered a minty 400 mm 6.8 Telyt for $695 but it doesn't have
the shoulder stock.

I assume it would be hard to find the shoulder stock seperately if I needed
it.  Is the shoulder stock something that's desirable/needed with this lens?

I would be using the lens for wildlife photography but also for any other
use I could put it to.
